This is a separate section for photos shot with a cumbersome traditional view camera. Setting up the tripod, unfolding the box with leather bellows and ground glass to finally disappear beneath the black cloth is a time consuming ritual that intensifies the making of a photograph.

 

Now that almost everything I shoot is with a digital camera, it seems very difficult to get anywhere close to that level of commitment.
